Christian Service Commission

The Christian Service Commission helps coordinate parish outreach, which includes both service to parishioners, and service to those in the wider community in which we live. This Commission consists of lay volunteers, and meets monthly. If you are in need in any of these areas, or interested in sharing your time and talent to support these efforts, please contact the Parish Office!

Food Outreach

The parish food pantry provides regional assistance for those struggling to provide food for their families. The food pantry accepts donations towards this effort year-around.

Prayer Line

The prayer line is manned by volunteers who will consider any prayer intentions you may have. There is also a "peer prayer line" for youth for youth-specific intentions. Visit our directory for for phone numbers for this ministry.

Prayer Shawl

The Prayer Shawl ministry consists of knitting enthusiasts who apply their skills to the creation of prayer shawls for shut-ins and those in nursing homes, as well as baby blankets for the newly baptized of the parish. The crafters pray for the recipients while they are crafting. Those who have received one of these handmade gifts can attest to the wonderful feeling they receive from knowing that someone's talent was directed towards their needs.

Grief Ministry / Funeral Luncheon

The parish coordinates Grief Ministry resources for those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one. This program includes coordinating with funeral homes for visitation prayer services, arranging the necessary resources for the Rite of Christian Burial, as well as he parish funeral luncheon program, supported by volunteers, which allows families to offer a meal to funeral attendees at minimal cost. This ministry can also provide resources and referrals for those who experience difficulty with coping following a loss.

Christmas Giving Trees

Each Advent, the parish participates in Giving Trees to purchase needed items for area individuals with special needs or in need of assistance.

Baby Bottle Project

Spanning the period of Mothers' Day to Fathers' Day, the parish participates in a Baby Bottle fundraiser drive to support Bay County Right to Life and their social justice efforts.
